Driving home this evening I heard the NPR story “Peter Thiel Stands Out In Silicon Valley For Support Of Donald Trump” (Laura Sydell | October 31, 2016), in the story the man demonstrated such childish logic for such a big man that when I got home I couldn't help pound out the following response.
Mr. Thiel, you’ve taken offense that many say you show significant “lack of judgement” by coming out in support of Donald Trump the gold plated narcissist who would be President.
On Monday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., you defended your position: "It's not a lack of judgment that leads Americans to vote for Trump. We're voting for Trump because we judge the leadership of our country to have failed.”
I thought you said you were a man of good judgement? What's with that yuge non sequitur? What does Washington DC leadership failures have to do with being suckered by a big talking hustler like the beauty pageant magnet Donald Trump?

The comments beg the question, do you have any realistic understanding of what happened back there, before and after 9/11, and how that impacted world tensions and hostilities moving forward?
If so, why in the world would you support another Republican Administration? I mean were Trump elected he's dependent on these people who have yet to acknowledge their own mistakes and gross errors in judgement when supporting Bush/Cheney’s war of opportunity in Iraq, let alone learn anything from those painful lessons.
Come to think of it, Trump finds it easy to pretend that he never supported that invasion despite many recorded examples of his supporting it, how's that for disconnected? But, you're ready for such a character to lead the USA?

IT IS NOT ABOUT TOLERATING OR NOT. Besides, what about Republican absolutism and anger and desire to tear down our government and anything coming from the Democratic Party?
IT’S ABOUT THE ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE A DESTRUCTIVE CONMAN.
As for your "half the country" gambit - you know, way over half the country was all waving flags and wild for a little shock’n awe action. That didn't make it smart, or right, or good for America! What an ever lasting catastrophe that's been and many still haven’t acknowledged or learned from their mistakes.
This election is about Faith-based vs. Fact-based. About people who believe it's okay for dogma driven beliefs to trump clear observable physical realities and facts.
The Democrats for all their failings at least take a rational approach to living in this life and on this planet, that is they allow fact based understanding and learning to help guide our decisions.

Whereas the Republican Party has become all about self-interest first and foremost. In order to reinforce that world outlook, they freely make up their own version of reality. This can most clearly be seen in their continued disbelieve that human's are causing harmful warming of our planet despite overwhelming and irrefutable evidence from every corner of the world.
But, it seems, all that doesn’t matter one wit to these Republicans thanks to their custom made “Think Tanks” churning out PR and dirty-tricks that folks gobble up, all the while rejecting all other sources of information and avoiding the real questions we should be grabbling with - but no, absolutist attitude and some vague notion that we still live in the 1950s is as far as their imagination goes.
But, it seems, all that doesn’t matter one wit to these Republicans thanks to their custom made “Think Tanks” churning out PR and dirty-tricks that folks gobble up, all the while rejecting all other sources of information and avoiding the real questions we should be grabbling with - but no, absolutist attitude and some vague notion that we still live in the 1950s is as far as their imagination goes.
America’s democracy demands an informed and engaged electorate. Trump embraces utter disconnect from reality in his drive for constant self-adulation, and this is who you're willing to put into the White House?
Yes sir, Mr. Thiel, your political choice deserves to be called out for being foolish, even if you know how to make millions.

The Republican nominee faces a series of allegations of sexual assault, an embarrassing tape in which he boasts about committing sexual assault, a series of old comments, and a civil suit accusing him of rape.
In the second debate two days later, Trump told Anderson Cooper that he had never sexually assaulted women. That angered several women who say Trump did assault them, and who came forward to say so. Two women told The New York Times that Trump assaulted them, one in the 1980s and one in 2005.
A Florida woman told The Palm Beach Post that Trump had groped her. A former People reporter recounted how she says Trump assaulted her while she was reporting a story for that magazine, telling her, “You know we’re going to have an affair, don’t you?”
Despite furious reactions from Trump backers, complaining of a coordinated election-eve attack, such allegations are hardly new. Former Trump business associate Jill Harth accused him of sexual assault months ago. …
Unrelatedly, Trump is facing a civil lawsuit from a Jane Doe who alleges that Trump raped her in 1994, when she was 13 years old, at parties hosted by the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who Trump called a friend. That lawsuit is scheduled to proceed in December, and Trump could be forced to testify under oath.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of other questionable stories about Trump. Several former contestants in his pageants—including several teenagers—say Trump barged into changing rooms while they were naked or partially naked. Trump denies that, yet he bragged of doing just that in an interview with Howard Stern.
